Christmas at the Farm + Re:Craft and Relic Recap

Christmas at the Farm + Re:Craft and Relic Recap

Phew, it's been a crazy few weeks for us...in the BEST way! I thought I would share a little bit about the past two markets that we sold for those of you who weren't able to join us!

CHRISTMAS AT THE FARM - BELVIDERE, ILLINOIS:

Our first holiday show was Christmas at the Farm. This was a new show to us and we had no idea what to expect...but y'all - it was nuts! It was SO fun. It's an indoor/outdoor Christmas show that features both vintage and handmade items. I loved it because there weren't too many vendors (I think around 40) and the selection was top-notch. They have a heated building, two heated tents and some outdoor vendors, so it was fun exploring the farm and checking out all the vendors.

I wish I had taken more pictures while we were there, but it was so busy I honestly just kept forgetting! We brought a lot of Christmas signs, which I wasn't sure how they'd go with it being the first weekend in November, but the response was awesome (thank you!).

This was by far one of our most popular signs, along with the advent calendar (see below). This is my first year making the wreath sign and the advent calendar and I'll definitely have to continue doing them in the years to come! The advent calendars come with a little ornament so you can move it each day as you countdown to Christmas. We love them!

It's so fun to see people get so excited over new things that we create! It's always a bit risky bringing new items (cuz, ya know...not everything can be a winner! haha), but I loved how much y'all loved our Christmas stuff. ANNNND...!

The newest addition to our handcrafted items: CANDLES! This was our first show bringing them. We brought around 30 and left with 5! I'd say that was a great start to our candle debut! Our most popular scent was by far Fraser Fir. It's a sweet, pine smell + it's amazing.

So, to all the Christmas at the Farm shoppers: thank you for welcoming us with open arms! We already can't wait until next year.

RE: CRAFT AND RELIC - FRANKLIN, WISCONSIN

The following weekend was Re: Craft and Relic's Fall and Holiday Market. This is our third market that we have done with Re: Craft and Relic. They have one every January, April and November. We absolutely loved the January + April one, so we were pretty excited for November. It did not disappoint! This was our last "big market" of the year + we wanted to go out with a bang, so decided to "one-up" our booth a little.

...and we literally "upped" it. We added a roof and these rabbit-wire chandeliers! I'm in LOVE. I can't tell you how many people said, "Are y'all moving in?" ha. Our entire display needs a fresh coat of paint, so don't look too closely! ;)

As far as products go, we brought our usual: signs, windows, candles, furniture...and even little birch trees that we made. But another new update to our products are these giant signs! They are almost 25x25 inches. I posted this picture on Instagram and y'all flipped out! And hey, who doesn't like big signs?! Love these.

Next up: let's talk about this double washtub. It's just for display, but I'm in love with it. I gotta say - figuring out how to display our booth is always a little challenging to me. I don't want it to just be a wall with signs cluttering it. I want our booth to be warm + inviting as you come in and thoughtfully displayed! It's a work in progress - ha. But I love incorporating old vintage pieces! We're getting there. Bradley thought I was crazy when I brought it home, but now he loves it too ;)

The show was nothing short of amazing. One of the things I love most about Re: Craft and Relic is the people. Some of my favorite comments were..."I always buy things from your booth at these shows", "I love watching your Instagram stories", "We bought a piece of furniture from you in January and want to buy another piece!" and my favorite: "I absolutely love your puppy. I wish you could bring her here." These kinds of comments just warm our hearts, you guys. Thanks for sharing in this journey with us!

So as a recap, thank you to everyone who came out to both shows and took home a piece of our business with you! Furniture, signs, candles -- we left pretty empty-handed at both shows, you guys. It's the best feeling. Thank you for making it a priority to shop small. Thank you for your support! We have one more show for the year. We will be with Madison Maker's Market on Black Friday (you can find the details on the event page linked on our FB page). And if you can't make it, look out for another update coming soon!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love,

Court + Brad
